This may not be the best topic for a poll, considering there are so many options available (not in this particular poll, but for this particular question). My girlfriend and I live together; I love being around her so much, but the lack of space often gets to me (she moved into my 1-bedroom apartment).

I don't necessarily miss living alone... though I do enjoy having my own space sometimes. As we're moving out of here soon, that shouldn't be a huge problem.

I live with my wife and daughter, but at times it would be the same as living alone. I put down "I have a roommate" but that's incorrect. I can't live without my S/O....my daughter.  ;D

I live at home and my family drives me crazy.  I regularly wish that I lived alone but that isn't an option for the time being.  I do love my friends, but I like my space and I'm not sure I'd like sharing it after the novelty wore off.

After 17 years of a good marriage and 5 years of descent through all the levels of Hell, I am very happily living alone.  I have lots of friends I can see when I want to, but at home things stay where I put them and the house stays as clean as I want it and I can find peace when I need it.

... it took my friends to guide me out of a horrible pit of despair and set me on the path that led to where I am now. If I didn't have my friends I would have been/would be hopelessly lost to this condition.

Yep. Although I really miss waking up next to someone every morning, the whole "freedom to do whatev, whenev" thing pulls harder.

I didn't vote, because none of them really fit me.
.
Currently I live alone.  It's not really what I want to do though.
.
I'd rather have a roomate or SO to share my life with.   I've had some pretty bad luck in the past with that though.  Like Ken, I've ever felt alone...even when I was living with others.   Like FairyGirl, I was also never more alone than when I was married.  A truly horrible time.
.
I guess I view being alone as a necessity at the moment.  There are a lot of changes coming up in my life in the next few years.  Most people (prospective roomates) are pretty afraid of change, and react rather poorly when confronted with it.  That...and I guess I'm still a bit fragile from being shattered during that marriage.  I'm still trying to build the strength necessary to try again...at least...sometime down the road in the future.

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS
