That table is a little misleading.  It needs to be more specific on the actual dates for the Chinese Years including the months.  I believe the Chinese Year starts sometime in late January or early February if I am not mistaken and varies from year to year within these two months based on the Gregorian Calendar.  I know for a fact that even though I was born in '63, I am a Capricorn and still a Tiger.   ;)  I always wondered why I love to race cars and take risks so much.  Now I know why... Lol!

I am a Leo and an Oxen, does that mean anything

LEO:
The Leo type is the most dominant, spontaneously creative and extrovert of all the zodiacal characters. In grandeur of manner, splendor of bearing and magnanimity of personality, they are the monarch's among humans as the lion is king of beasts. They are ambitious, courageous, dominant, strong willed, positive, independent, self-confident there is no such a word as doubt in their vocabularies, and they are self-controlled. Born leaders, either in support of, or in revolt against, the status quo.

So mix a Leo with an Ox, is that a good thing, or am I just too head-strong for my own good??

For my zodiac sign, I'm a cancer.  However, I tend to not quite be conventional in the sense of the typical cancer since I do not hide in my shell any more.

horse . . . and coincidentally I try and write creatively every day (though it's harder some days than others), which includes poems.  But poetry is not really a viable career option at this point in the world.

scorpio, too.  Not that any of that stuff means anything.  Just fun . . .

IM a WABBIT!

I always no I was cute cuddle and adorble but i wasn't aware i have big ears!! great another insecurity!! thanks Steph!!! >:(

Rabbits -  Rabbits are affectionate, co-operative and pleasant, with lots of friends. But they can get too sentimental and seem superficial. Ideal careers areas include law, diplomacy or the stage.

How many people want to dispute that!? LOL

That is correct. It fluctuates from January 27 to Febuary 3rd "I believe" so any one who was born in the early part of the year look at the year before.

I'm a female Tiger. Grrrrrrrr.  Watch out. ;)
A bit of caution is a good thing around Tigers, since they can pounce without warning. They experience mood swings and often feel things more intensely than others, the latter quality being both good and bad. They can react poorly under stress and are prone to emotional outbursts. This Sign's bristling sensitivity can send friend and foe running for cover.

That kind of sound like me, I think. :icon_weirdface:  ??? Maybe.

I am a RAT!

I have a gold and diamond pendent brought in Beijing that I wear in the shape of my birth animal.

I have spent a lot of time in Asia and have grown to understand the people and the culture. Recently in a business trip to Hong Kong, we couldn't get a seat in any restaraunt as it was a "good day to get married" and every establishment had at least one reception in!

I have my name tattoed in Chinese on my lower back and my house has traditional friendship banners both outside and in to show friends they are welcome (enemies please stay away!)

I recently had a serious sporting injury and had traditional Chinese accupuncture and Teijing massage, which I was amazed really speeded up my recovery ( I am not sure how sticking needles in my left ear, butt and knee can help a ruptured right achilles, but it sure did!)

Yep .... there is a lot to learn from Eastern culture and birth animals.
