Hi, I don't know if it is okay to post links, but recently, I had auditioned and made it onto the cast of a monologue for LGBT people.  Over the school quarter, I worked with 9 other people to craft monologues about our experiences.  I performed last Friday.

It was such a scary experience, but was so empowering.  I still have a few people come up to me telling me that they loved my piece.  Many people didn't even realize that I was trans until I was part of the way into my monologue. ^^ I am stealth on campus and it was so freeing to be open.  This has helped me feel more comfortable with public speaking (opening up in front of 100+ people) and I made some great friends.

I might only leave this link up for like a week, so I'd love to hear what everyone's thoughts are.

Wow that was absolutely amazing!! I admire your courage for being able to overcome nervousness and to be able to just go up there and deliver it, beautifully. I was completely captured from the beginning, at points it made me sad, at other points it made me laugh. But most of all it made me smile. So thank you because I needed to smile right now.  :) And congrats for being able to go up and do it in the first place, you must feel sooo much stronger!

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Very good, and brave, and poignant. You shared so much of your intimate inner life without coming across as self-pitying or angry or anything else negative. Your attitude spoke as loudly as your words. And I suspect you reached a lot of people who never quite "got it" before. Very well done!

I am very impressed at your openness, honesty and speaking for those who can't.  Will I call you "brave"?  No because it isn't bravery or courage to be oneself.  I will call it inspirational and I think you should keep it up for all the new ones who need a inspiration.

You Rock, Cerealnmuffin.  ;D
