Addison is a pretty new name, so I can see why people think it's childish.  That'll change, though.  My cousin just named her son Addison.  They call him Addy, but we think that's too girly, so we call him AJ (his middle name is Jacob).
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
Why bounce around to the same damn song?

Yeah I hate the nickname Addy, sounds way too much like a 2 year old girls name.
