nu uh I love Ed hardy!

I bought an ed hardy bag today, actually xD

I liked it before it spread throughout the douchebag community like the plague though if that counts for anything? :P

Haha yes, that counts for something!
I actually thought Ed Hardy stuff was pretty neat until it became one of the main ways to spot a douchebag XD

Is it bad that Ed Hardy just makes me giggle and think of Lisa Frank?  ::)

Aw, now I'm going to do it too. Well, minus the giggling part.

It's a very manly giggle, I assure you.

I just wear Lynx as well  8) It smells good enough, and it seems to be fairly popular amongst most boys my age! :P

I think Lynx/Axe gets a bad reputation because of pre-teen boys over using it. I remember some of the lads I went to school with would use it constantly and classrooms would end up stinking of the stuff. But the girls were just as bad with using Impulse. Blergh! Now that stuff does stink. Yeah, most Lynx stuff smells decent in moderation, except the one that smells like chocolate (Dark Temptation?).

I've always used Abercrombie Fierce, before T and now a year on T, smells the same.  I love it & my gf does too  :)

I don't usually wear cologne, but occasionally I break out the Trufitt & Hill Trafalger.  I actually really love Brut (probably because my grandfather wore it), but I rarely wear it.  There are a couple of nice ones I've smelled on other guys, but I'm afraid if I ask them what they're wearing, they'll take it wrong.  (Cue creepy, lecherous guy: "Mmmm.  You smell good. Wanna get it on?) :D

Dark Temptation Axe + lighter = flamethrower. As opposed to other scents, it smells better after it's been burned. The others ones smell horrible.

Iron man uses it!? ohh I want it lol.  Iron man is so sexy.

i'm a complete scent geek so this might turn into a rant:

i like david beckham intimate, kinda sandalewood/bergamot/lavendar but totally masculine too, but light enough to wear whenever i feel like it. i also use black phenix alchemy lab, and they smell awesome on me. my faves are bow and crown of conquest (leather, cedar, musk, maybe a touch of cinnamon); Dee (like bow and crown but lighter); galvanic goggles (smells like SEXY man, irish spring and a touch of leather. i call it my tony stark cologne); and Bloodlust (cinnamon and musk with vetiver, hooooottt). so yeah, those can work really well on guys.

drakkar noir is nice, though i've only worn it when i rubbed the sample paper from sephora on myself  ::)

as for body wash i like the green Axe, recover i think? it smells like sprite :D. dark temptation smells like bug spray on me. old spice after hours is niiiice too. also amusing to use in the ladies' locker room at the gym xD

Don't worry, I appreciate the scent geek talk. I may have to try this Bloodlust thing. I'm such a sucker for anything musky with vetiver. *nom*

*edit*
Oh! It's from Black Phoenix. I should have known from the name and the fact that you already said it. lol I obviously read so carefully.

Drakkar Noir smells terrible on me. I wish it didn't react so badly to me. I grew up watching those commercials and always wanted to be "that guy."

Whelp, ordered a set of six imp's ears from black phoenix alchemy lab. I've only had like twenty people tell me to order samples from them now.

Bloodlust, Djinn, Fenris Wolf, Loup Garou, Wolf's Heart, Troll

Do we see a pattern here? I think only one doesn't have Vetiver listed.

The only one that I'm interested is sold in the UK and so I don't have access to it except for imports that would jack up the price by a great amount.

Oh well.

I'm cheap and don't have a lot of money to throw around (especially this year), so all I have is whatever I use in the shower that is at least unisex and my Old Spice stuff. For a few sticks I've used After Hours (I'll admit I sniff each scent before deciding on a stick at the store: a guy's gotta be sure he smells good, after all, right?); I have the After Hours spray for interviews or when I otherwise want to make an impression...or if I haven't had a chance to do laundry. :P

I haven't browsed colognes in well over a year...I may have to do that again next time I'm out, just to see. I think last time I liked some Beckham cologne, and maybe the ADIDAS one, too...there's a few I'd like to check out, and should probably start keeping track of. I do know this: my brother and I don't often agree on colognes, but we also don't agree on how to wear them either, haha.

I have to admit I LOVE the smell of Axe Kilo, bu I won't wear it because I don't want to smell like a middle school kid.   :-\  I use the bodywash, though.  Before sort of coming out to myself (when I was still in my "try to be girly" stage) I was really into Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab which makes natural, I think vegan perfume oils.  I've got several hundred dollars worth of oils in my room, most of which I can't wear anymore because they're a bit girly (although nothing flowery or anything).  There's one scent though that has a nice musky leather scent that I think is very manly and I love their Catholic incense scented oil which I think is pretty unisex.  I might start trying some of their other scents that are recommended for men.

OMG Devin you were into BPAL? Not to get up on my soapbox(wait, totally am...)  'cologne'  is mostly a reference to how concentrated the perfume is. From wikipedia:

Perfume extract: 15-40% aromatic compounds
Eau de Parfum, Parfum de Toilette: 10-20% (typical ~15%) aromatic compounds.
Eau de Toilette: 5-15% (typical ~10%) aromatic compounds
Eau de Cologne: Chypre citrus type perfumes with 3-8% (typical ~5%) aromatic compounds

(I mentioned to an overseas friend that over here we use the term 'cologne' to mean 'men's scent' and she laughed.)  I kinda hate how 'perfume' is considered 'girly' and 'cologne', 'manly' colloquially, when really cologne is just a type of perfume. Anyone wearing cologne. Is wearing. Perfume. And I highly doubt we walk around thinking 'MY SCENT IS COMPOSED OF 3-8% AROMATIC COMPOUNDS HOMG man ness' or 'the concentration of your scent is 10% too pure, therefore you are wearing a GIRLY SCENT!'  ...Scents smell 'mannish' or whathaveyou based on what's in 'em, the different notes, and perfume's perfume.

That said... I like oakmoss/patchouli/melissa/vetivert scented things(green/wet dirt) and smoke. Other herbs I like too, BPAL made a sharp green one I really liked called 'Nero', I think it's rosemary, bay, and pine. Resins I also like, copal, myrrh, and amber(though that isn't really a real resin) in particular. I like to put some on when I'm going 'out', but day to day I just stick with my showers and deodorant and wallow in 'man funk'. :P

I love colognes.  Always have done.  My feeling is that both men and women are a great deal more attractive if they are wearing a well-chosen fragrance.

My long-lasting favourite is Clarins Eau Dynamisante, which is very conveniently a unisex fragrance (well, strictly speaking it is a fragranced skin treatment but they do it in great, big splash-it-all-over bottles so it can be used as a fragrance).  It is fresh, clean, light and irresistable.

For others, I like the old-fashioned fragrances, such as Eau de Verveine by Penhaligons or Trumpers Extract of Limes.  Unfortunately, these cost an arm and a leg, so perhaps ones to whine on about as it draws near to Christmas.

I wear Adidas Dare too.
Seems to be the one that smells best on me.
I like cologne a lot but am careful where I wear it. Where I live there seems to be a "Scent Sensitive" movement.
