How would I go about getting hormone blockers? Obviously not on the street, my doctor would have to prescribe them to me right?

I am in the USA and in Michigan, so would I need to go to counselling? I have no clue where to start

I'm 21 and I was prescribed a hormone blocker with my testosterone from my endocrinologist.

There is no background story, we have consulted with my doctor about anything =/

But I need to know where to start

Wow, I always thought you were like 20 something judging by your dp...dont mind me tho, Im a little dumb :P

Um well I started by firstly telling my mum I wanted to be a boy, and then she took me to the local doctor just to talk about it and he gave me referral to a gender therapist. So from there Ive been counseling! Haven't started blockers yet, but Im hoping to soon ;D Yeah, start by seeing a doctor!

Hah, thanks, I just used very thin layer of makeup.

So do I HAVE to go to a therapist in order to get prescribed hormone blockers?

It will be extremely difficult to get hormones without a counselor, that includes blockers.

So where do I start? Find a counselor?

That would be the usual route. You may have to find out what counselors take your parents insurance. Then make phone calls and hope one of them deals with trans issues. They would then refer you for the blockers/hormones. It may be right away or it may be few sessions first.
