A flashmob/demonstration planned by the Chicago Harvey Milk Week of Action very nearly didn't take place.

At noon on Thursday, May 20th, members of the LGBTQQIA - which stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer, Questioning, Intersex and Allies - community of Chicago gathered outside the Federal Building only to find that the flashmob they had been planning had been nixed by federal agents, even though they had already acquired permission from the local police.
