So today, I found out that I needed to swap a few clubs (golf clubs, I needed a new driver) for reasons I can't say. But I told mum and she said she would help me pay for it.
I went to the shop and picked out what i needed and then she told me to also grab a new 3 wood and Hybrid. I told her I did not really needed one, but she insisted and told me I had never had new golf clubs and got them fitted before(all the stuff ive brought has been 2nd hand) So it ended up costing around 1500 and she decide to pay for it all. But now I feel so dam horrible because if I start HRT then this stuff will not fit me anymore and I will have to spend 400$ + to re shaft the new clubs.

I told her not to buy them though, so now I feel horrible that she did. She also would not let me pay for any of it witch makes it worse!!!!!!  I feel so horrible!!

from what i understand she doesn't know your transitioning? i mean if she does why would you feel bad
anyway just pay her back some way , not necessarily with money

No she does not, so she has kind of wasted 1500 :(
But yes, I need to pay her back, not sure how.....

pebbles

why wouldn't they fit you? You know HRT dosen't change bones  in any dramatic fashion.

HRT reduces Muscle mass Correct????

Swing Speed will reduce I would think...

I am also a keen golfer although I have not played as much this year as I have previously.   For a while I was down into a single figure handicap.   As for needing to get your clubs adjusted, I doubt your transition will change things much.   You will lose body mass and your centre of balance will change a bit but that can be fixed by swing alterations rather than changing clubs and yes you will lose a bit of distance.   However, your choice of shaft depends on your swing speed and that is unlikely to alter.    Look at the kit the lady professionals use, I bet you will find that they use stiff shafts and 90 compression balls just like the men.

hehe Pippa :D  Great game isent it!!!   Reaching Single Figures is such a great a mile stone :D   Im currently playing off 2.3.
The thing is I belive my swing speed will drop, because I actully swing the club as fast as most male Professional golfers. My swing speed is 118 - 123 MPH So im guessing it would end up droping to around 90MPH. So there is a Shaft flex change there, from X to S. But I guess it won't hurt me that much for the time being.

Anyways, thanks you have actully made me feel a little bit better.
