A transexual pressure group has condemned Nationwide's new advertising campaign for being "shameful", this month.

The building society's TV, print and online promotions are currently fronted by Little Britain actors Matt Lucas and David Walliams, who appear as men dressed conspicuously as women.

Devised by leading advertising agency Leagas Delaney, the campaign presents Nationwide as modern, contemporary thinkers while poking fun at their competitor's traditional focus on shareholders.
