If you have been following my blog, you would know that churches and transsexuals are my two pet topics (and not shoes as some people think).  This week, Singapore's sizeable Christian community are awash with, not oil, but shocking news that the police have hauled 17 staff members from City Harvest, one of our largest and wealthiest charismatic churches, for questioning.  The probe?  Alleged misuse of church funds.  Now it is not with wicked delight that I'm decending on this church, because they haven't been known to torment transgender folk unlike some of their counterparts.  Using the example of this church, I will present my thoughts on why the Singapore government has more to fear from church leaders than transsexuals.

Three Reasons why the Singapore Government has more to fear from church leaders than transsexuals

1.  The church can easily and rapidly mobilise tens of thousands of its congregation to its cause, whereas you could hardly get three transsexuals to march in line.
