Getting a male voice without T

Is it possible?  I don't plan on taking T but I have an obviously female voice and it's what gives me away all the time.  Untill I speak, people tend to be 'confused' about me, but it's just my voice that ruins the whole image.  So is there a way to sound more male or have a deeper voice before taking T?

And ok.  Maybe I should have implied more androgynous than obviously male.  Anything that doesn't scream 'that's a girl!!!' when I talk.

Well, some guys try to talk lower, but it sounds like exactly what it is - a female bodied person trying to disguise their voice. I think a speech therapist would be your best bet at sounding anything close to convincing.
I'm also one of the guys who had a girly pre-T voice.

Unless, that is, you feel like becoming a chain smoker... but I don't recommend it. In the absence of T, the best you can expect is to sound a like a chick trying to sound like a dude. And that's not pretty... trust me.

I have met a few FTM, but only one of them sounded convincing as a male.   I guess he had a deepish voice originally as female?

ON the other hand I am MTF and always had a light  voice, plus commenced hormones in my teens before my voice deepened.   I never have any problems as a now female, voice wise.  Occassionally on the phone if I am feeling a bit off I will consciously need to lighten my voice.

I don't know if this will work or not but I suppose you could kinda do what I do.
I hum in the desired pitch for 20 minutes a day and it helps to raise the pitch of my voice, and I am getting good results.
Perhaps you could try humming in your desired pitch to lower the pitch of your voice.

My having a deep voice to begin with helped a lot.

There's not much you can do, i agree i think trying to make it deeper doesnt really make you sound like a guy most times. I tend to avoid talking, you'd be suprised how much you can answer a question with a little nod and occasional smile. If the situation really calls for it i answer but i answer barely above a whisper so its more like i just move my lips.

I have hear of various exercises you can do to work your neck muscles and different ways of speaking to lower the voice.

"recite the alphabet in your regular voice. Slowly. Don't rush through it. Say each letter fully and completely. When you're done, say it again, but drop down one note. Repeat the process a few times. If you want to keep going, drop down another note, and repeat that a few times. The idea is to eventually be able to drop down to your lowest note possible. Once you've reached your lowest notes, that will make the few just above it seem relatively easy and comfortable. That means they won't feel, or sound, forced when you use them. Let me rephrase - I don't want you to use that lowest note in a public setting. Or even a private one. So don't panic on me, here. It's just a method to limber up your vocal chords. Once they are trained to be able to go that low, everything else will be a piece of cake.
