I've heard that this place in Texas, Electrology 3000, can do full clearings per visit. Has anyone been there and can recommend it?

<opinion ahead>
I thought about them before I went for  laser reduction, but after the fact, I have to declare them a ripoff, mostly because of the practice of charging more money for genital electro. (and for that matter, too much for face work, I get 2 hours for the price of their 1 hour at $105)
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

The E3000 process utilizes two electrologists to do advanced clearing.

This is referred to as a doubling.  Dr. Zukowski has recently opened up into that area with these electrologists:

The website is a bit thin right now and is being developed.  But if you are interested please give them a call and they can give you all the details.

Both Suzanne and Christa are my electrologists and they both do great work.  I have not had any doubling work as I have so little left of my facial hair.  I usually go about once a month for an hour or two.

The key here is that when a large area is being done, the doctor will administer a variety of numbing injections to make the process as pain free as possible.  These sessions can be as long as 6-8 hours.

Went there for many days of a.... Pain ?
Nice girls and they do a good job.
For all day or multiple day Elec, they are the best IMO
I did many multiple days sessions with them.
Cheap hotels and food nearby as well
Hope that helps

I've used Electrology 3000 and found them to be a great place to go for "mass" clearings.  Are they inexpensive? No. Are they good at what they do? Yes.  Will I return? Definitely.  Very few places do 'marathon' clearings which makes them even more appealing.  Being able to do the equivalent of 16 hrs of clearing (2 electrologists working at the same time) in one day makes the extra money well worth it in my opinion.

The girls at E3K are fantastic.  They are very friendly and really try to make the process as 'pain-free' as possible (minus the injections of course which hurt like hell).

There are some nice hotels within a few minutes drive of the clinic.  I can't remember the name of the place we stayed but it was very nice.  We will definitely be staying there again next trip.  There are several fast food places in the same business area so you don't have to go far for lunch if you choose to do so.  We just got some Krystal's burgers and stuck them in the fridge at E3K so we didn't have to leave mid-day.

I'm interested in this as well. I read in Deidre McCloskey's Crossing about a place that did doubling and could clear an entire beard in four days. As I understand it they numb you up, and you sit there watching movies while they work.

Thanks for the info. I will look into Dr. Zukowski's office. Full clearing at a time is preferable since I can't go long term (1-2 hrs a week) with not shaving.

Yes, I'm behind on this step. I stopped my electrolysis a few years ago at around 40 hours during a questioning phase and never restarted. Now I'm full-time so doing it slowly over time isn't very practical.

I am in the same boat. Wish I would have done all this before going full time but what the hell. "Hey, who is that chick with the beard?!"  hehe

Yes they numb an area every 2 hours ort so and then clear that area.
They use Lidocaine and epinephrine to do the numbing.
The threading style injections are a bit painful but it doesn't last very long. (i.e.seconds) After that you are pretty numb and the pain from electrolysis is minimal or non existent.

* You can get two technicians at the same time if you like. When I first stared I was there for two full days with two technicians. Plan on going back every 6-8 weeks to get another clearing.

I think it is about $110 per hour per tech. Email me if you want more details on the best girls to use. Three sisters own the place and they are all good.

Remember to take massive doses of Ibuprofen (I think it is about 3200 mg daily). Keep your head elevated for a day or two when sleeping and use topical lotions like Zinc oxide and 100% aloe . You will have a red face and a lot of swelling but it is gone in about a week

Hope that helps !!

I did for genital electrolysis.  Very good atmosphere and Denise is a gem.  The genital elect. is more painful than the surgery.  Well the lidocaine injections are but the actual clearing isnt.
