PLATTSBURGH — Assembly candidate David Kimmel says Janet Duprey is out of touch with North Country residents and that her support of a bill protecting transgender people from discrimination is proof.

Duprey says Kimmel clearly does not understand what the bill is about.

Kimmel is taking on Duprey in a Republican primary in the 114th Assembly District race. He has been critical of Duprey for her support in the past of same-sex marriage.
