14th May my local helath authority writes to say they agree to fund me to the sex change surgeon and my doctor will make the arrangements (this is how things are done in England) so I wait but hear nothing so I call the surgeon's secretary and she says  'no letter arrived here.' So I write to doctor saying 'please refer me for immediate and urgent apointment with surgeon' and I wait an d har nothing, and phone secretary and she says  'no letter'.  So I gave up trying to sleep at 3.33 and worry about what to do.
Do I go crawling to the doctor and dneand or beg to know why he won't write the letter?  Or do I ask to see another doctor at the clinic and hope to have a more receptive hearing and get the letter written?
I think the male doctor is projecting his own castration anxieties onto me.  But whatever it is that is stoping him writing the letter it is illegal under the European Human Rights Legislation.
I have to phone at 8am to try get to see one or other doctor and I don't know which to ask for.
This constant delays is getting me down.

Lilac, that really sucks. But you're very close now...I recommend talking to your first doctor. It might have just been an honest mistake for all you know, and immediately assuming that they're doing it to spite you isn't going to get you anywhere. So just talk it over with them first; if it turns out they are- violating legislation, then you can go to see another doctor. I know that's an increased chance of having to spend more money, but I think it's better to at least give the first doctor a chance.
