Tabloid Sez: Daughter of Beatty and Bening to Transition to Man

She will assume the name Stephen to go along with her change of gender, the article said.
The Enquirer said that Beatty was "heartbroken," and noted that at a younger age, Kathlyn had sworn to pursue the matter on her own when she came of age. According to a June 18 account in the UK newspaper Daily Mail, Kathlyn Beatty, now 18 and a college student, is already living and dressing as a young man. The article cited the National Enquirer and quoted a source as saying that, "'Warren Beatty is beside himself over the situation with his daughter Kathlyn." Added the source, "He and Annette have tried to deal with this over the years when their daughter was younger, but she's determined to go ahead with the transgender operation, just like Chastity [Bono]."
