Here was something weird I found about sleeping while transitioning. The longer I was on HRT and while losing muscle tone in my chest, the more difficult it was to sleep purely on my side. I would wake up with sore shoulders, which tended to collapse inwards without the chest muscles to support them.
I go along with that!
But of course would any sleep scientist take us seriously?

I have always been a stomach sleeper. When I started sleeping with my forms I slept on my back but ever since I didn't need my forms I end up on my stomach again. It's not bad....then again I only have an AA cup still.

I sleep on my side most of the time, though I will occasionally wake up on my back.

Funny - after my recent move I got my own bed/room (tatami & shikibuton).  I most definitely noticed my hips and thighs are not the same as they were a few years ago.  The bed is pretty firm so I usually lay on my back until sheepy time then roll on my side to pass out.

Add:  Oh, I didn't sleep on my tummy much after I hit my late teens.
