Toni Witten, a transgender airport traffic controller who's held the job for nine years and came out in November, insists the complaints filed against her by colleagues, which forced her into administrative leave, are false. Including the one saying she talked about "->-bleeped-<- bars" and sexual behaviors. And the other that claims she attempted to put her breasts on display.

SAN DIEGO - A Lindbergh Field employee said she's being discriminated against because she's transgender.

Toni Witten, an airport traffic officer, was placed on administrative leave due to complaints filed against her. Witten said the filed complaints from various employees were false.

Witten has been working at her job for nine years. In November, she came out as a woman.

To me it sounds like her co-workers may have set her up. Since trans people are unfortunately sexualized, the complaints sound "believable" because the ignorant masses often view trans people as weird sex-crazed individuals. Also, as one of the commenters said, consider if a cis woman was to show off her breast implants to male employees... people wouldn't make nearly as big of a deal of it.

P.S. I am surprised with how well the article is written, especially for FOX. I love it how they said, "In November, she came out as a woman". The fact that they didn't precede "woman" with "trans" makes it even better. Normally you'd expect them to say something like, "In November, Bob had surgery and changed his name to Dorothy". Needless to say, I am quite pleased. :D
