June is a wonderful month for connecting with people! I think maybe I won't go into my whole life story here, just wanted to say hello. I'm looking forward to joining in a few discussions, asking a few questions, and maybe offering support to others.

I'm 60 years old (and look it). Dressing up to look like a grandmother just isn't a treat, you know? If I have any advice to offer younger people, it would be, "Get out and do it while you're young, girl! Don't wait!"

Also, it's about having fun. It's not a heavy thing, and above all it's not a tragedy. Enjoy every minute.

Hugs,

Hi Jenna , :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 5000 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,

Welcome, young lady.  You'll find lots to do here at Susan's.

We can't dress like 30-year-olds, but we sure don't have to dress like our grandmothers did. I did go through that phase when I first came out, but... hoo boy, I think I am a well-dressed, active 73-year-old. Well dressed for cruises, church, work, etc., but shorts and tops most days in Hawaii.

60 years old? Do check the ElderTG link in our links area, and know that there is still plenty of time for transition if that is where your journey leads. I had SRS on my 63rd birthday and have several friends who had theirs in their 70s.

Oh, by the way, come over to Chat and say HI to the gang of all ages.

E komo mai.

Welcome to Susan's, Jenna. :icon_flower:

We transition (or not) when we are ready.  I am *ahem* a few years older than you.  I dress appropriate to my age but not like a grandmother.  I dress like a put-together woman who enjoys life.  (My sister told me she was chagrined she would have to tell people that her new sister dresses better than she does.)

And yes, being at long last yourself can put a wonderful new spin on life.  Go girl! :eusa_dance:

Welcome, and I positively love your name.

Take Robyn's advice ... she's right.  She inspires me so much.  I'm 54.7 +/- a month or two, and I also wish I had done this YEARS ago.  Robyn has convinced me that we can enjoy our time now.

Get involved ... post.  You'll find good people here.
