Hi all, as everyone here I have a distaste for "the bulge" For years I could accept wearing lingerie as a fettish but it now is the norm everyday. I  dress as feminine as possible but not imulating a woman right now. I am going to ask my GP for a refferal to a theripist to talk about what is avalable for me.   Not sure what to ask for for starters.  I just know that I wish I was more feminine and want to try something to head in that direction. Any suggestions a best starting point?

I know I feel much better just admitting to ones here that I  desire some sort of feminization but to what point I do not know.  Look forward to good advice on my next steps.

You'll probably want to ask for a referral to a gender specialist, or a therapist who has experience dealing with transexuals (otherwise you may be shuffled around to a few people, like I have been so far). The waiting times to get into free services can get pretty ridiculous, so if you have the money you might be better off just paying for the therapy yourself. That being said, start saving, because if you're serious about transitioning, it's far from cheap.

Asking to speak about gender issues is a good start. Tell them you need sort out your feelings on it.

You'll find a huge variety of feelings and attitudes among the people here. (I happen to like my bulge, but also consider myself female.) A good therapist will help you figure out what's right for you ... but you do need to make sure the therapist is experienced with and comfortable with cross-gender issues. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

As far as "to what point" you want to go, you don't need to make up your mind right now. It's perfectly okay to feel different ways on different days! In the end, you'll know.

your Gp will refer you to a local psychiatrist to try figure you out first as it costs a big chunk of money to get you to the local gender clinic.

Great observation!  As I read on this site I am seeing there is so much variety in our desires that I never knew.  It sure seems that finding where you are in the spectrum is most important as I contemplate my actions and reactions to what I try.  Thanks Lilac
