Good morning, been reading alot all weekend and was wondering about what I could expect if I was just to eliminate my male hormones for starters.  I do not think full transition is in my near future but wondered if this would allow my current feminine desires to blossom.

I have an uncle that had one for prostate cancer and outwardly I have seen nothing change.  He is pretty norml, not macho or feminine.  But there are forums indicating great release from sexual desire and gycomastia started which they did not like but I would not mind.  Thanks

I am 7 months post-Orchie.  The actual surgery is not a big deal, I was up and round in 24 hours.  Albeit not doing any lifting at all.  I did not get any hot flashes for 3 months, and I was on my HRT.

I have noticed that my breasts are filling out more now.  Spironolactone took care of the sexual desire, I had been on it for over a year.

Whoever does your Orchidectomy, make sure that you mention that you might be getting an SRS to minimize scarring.  Your feminine side will come to the surface once you begin HRT, if it hasn't already..

Your uncle was probably prescribed testosterone to replace what his body would normally produce.

Thanks Janet, so far I have not been on hormones for feminization.  I am planning to see a theripist about my feminine desires and be open about wearing lingerie all the time and my desires to dress more. I do not think I would ever have SRS but being without testicals does interest me though.  I see my libido and physical christicas very male and as time goes by I dislike them more.  I do not want to feel akward talking to them about my desires and the people like you are helping alot.

So if I am reading correctly and orchiectomy or drugs to reduce testerone have very little feminizing affect but can elimanate sexual desire.

I can see this is going to take some time sorting things out.  Are there any good test one might take to find out where they are?  Thanks again.

My understanding is that testerone makes the prostate cancer grow thus the need to eliminate it.  Perhaps you are thinking about testical cancer and having them removed and get artificial testerone to compensate.
