It's 30 minutes every couple of weeks hassle rather than having them as part of your pills regime but there is some level of pain involved (although we MTFs still have to take blocker pills unless your getting injectable spiro aswell) You will have to get a nurse or something to stab you the first couple of times until your taught howto inject yourself properly.

It's less thrombic risk which is why I requested it.

I recommend the bum instead of the thigh it hurts less in the long run relax it will hurt a ->-bleeped-<-ton if you tense the muscle. err there are some slight symptoms at the start and end indicating irregular hormone levels. too high and too low respectively.

Oh and your nipples will hurt alot shortly. Congrats and enjoy your stay in puberty.

They seem to work faster band better than those stupid little pills any day of the week... granted you get stuck once every so often but once your good at it, it only takes about 4-5min of your time to set up, stick, and clean up.  I've heard of some people being nauseous or going batty after the shot... personally I get alittle giddy/funny for about an hour or so.

Enjoy :)

That's what I believe and being on pills for a long time I really wanted to try injectables as an alternative. But in the U.K there so much red tape and I'm told time and time again that they are not licensed in the U.K every time I try and make request. My GP has now stopped my ordinary meds claiming HRT is for natal females only and the NHS cannot provide it for people with GD. I've really had enough of this backward country and I get so depressed because it's a constant fighting battle for anything.

That's disgusting how can your GP stop your meds when you have been on them for so long? I know they haven't been as successful as you want but I would have thought you still need them.

Feeling for you, wish I could help

Do you know what Cindy, I am absolutely appalled with that GP and the NHS in general. I'm really looking for a way to re-locate now, either in the U.K or to another country! my GP also wouldn't give me a repeat prescription for my blood pressure tablets.
