Active participation in the left-liberal wing of the Democratic Party is not a diagnostic criterion for Transsexuality. Men and women born transsexual do not enter this world with a lifetime membership in the marching proletariat.

We are little different than the rest of humanity. The raucous demonstrators so often found in the media do not represent us. The camera ready social activists are not our anointed spokesmen. We may never have used the awkward but politically correct term spokesperson in a sentence. Nor do we have any intention to do so.

In flyover land where most of us live, we move through our days as average women and men, unnoticed by big city media or left and right coast political activists. We are seldom part of the daily assault on Congress, demanding rights that, as working citizens, we already have.
