Your analogy to child porn is deceitful and unfair. No laws were broken here.
I don't see any point in getting into an irrelevant discussion on guns. I only raised it as an example of unfettered rights.
The issue is the exploitation of this baby and the implication that this may be some early signs of transgender.
This baby has reached the stage, that all babies reach, where she has become aware of herself. She is experimenting with her appearance. This is perfectly normal and not any sign of anything other than that she is perfectly normal.
The various press outlets are using this perfectly normal baby to create a story of possible transgender. Transgender is, whether you like it or not, a sexual matter. Not sexual practice with another person, necessarily, but sexual is the expression of sexual identity. Expression of sexual identity to the rest of the world.
What this child is doing has little to do with the rest of the world other than to say, I am here, perfectly normal for a baby of that age.
But it gets worse.
Many of us will remember the time the insinuation that being homosexual was synonomous with child abuse. Now, happly, society has moved on.
But some sections of society are even now attempting to imply an association between Transgender and child abuse. The bathroom issue, in the US has been expanded by some to suggest that it will put children at risk.
For Susans' to give such repeated coverage to these disgusting and unfounded sugegstions that this perfectly normal baby may be transgendered is, to say the very least, risky.
This is the consequence of unfettered 1st Ammendment rights. I suggest the moderators of Susans' should be thinking very carefully if reporting these press stories are really in the best interests of Susans' and of Transgender people everywhere.
