A SCOT who became the world's first officially genderless person has launched an appeal - after officials re-labelled her as a WOMAN.

Norrie May-Welby, 48, was a man until sex-swap surgery in 1999 but she later stopped taking hormone tablets in a bid to look neither male nor female.

In March, Norrie - born in Paisley but now living in Sydney, Australia - was issued with a new birth certificate stating sex "not specified".
