Introduction of Tom

Hello.
はじめまして。
私の名前はTomです。

My name is Tom, or so I'd like to be called. I am a young adult who is just starting the transition from female to male. I've only really told a small group but I've made the changes on Facebook. My family knows and the ones important to me too. As far as I know, they all accept me for it. But it's difficult for them and I don't expect them to know all the answers. That's when I met a new friend on Facebook and he showed me this. I can't believe how lucky I am to have found this much support and then to find more because I know, many aren't as lucky as me.

I have a lot of questions and I hope I can find as many answers as possible. I've taken a few steps already but I have a long ways to go yet. But I hope that, in others helping me, I can eventually help in return. I don't know what to expect but I'm excited and ready.

See, Tom is my favorite name so I chose that. Then, when I talked to my mother about my transitioning, I told her she should choose my middle name(s) because that was her privilege so she chose Edward. And well, Quackenbush is another story. Hoorah for aliases!

Yeah, Quackenbush isn't as excited as it sounds story wise, lol. Random life story time! When I was born, my biological father was there, so he gave the doctors his last name, but after that, he was never there. So, the man who raised me and the one I call father is the one I use for my last name. So my user name is my dream name that I hope to get legally changed to at some point in the future. I put the whole thing because Tom was taken and well, I didn't wanna just leave it at 'Tom Edward'...it sounded silly. XP

All the ladies here are sexy and all the men are hot. Each is unique. This includes you Cindy.

Thank you very much for those links. When I joined this forum, the first thing I did was read all the rules and such. But I wasn't sure how the ranking and posting work, so, now I know. ^^ I will keep all this in mind in the future so that I won't break any rules.

It's really nice to have a "family" like this as I have never had one. And I will say it's a great experience that I hope other new members will feel.

Just looking at your pic, you're going to pass VERY well into guyhood, and you'll be a handsome dude.  Best part is, you'll be YOURSELF.  THAT'S what's really important.

One of the transmen I admire the most is named Jameson Green.  (Hope I spelled that right.).  He totally passes as a guy.  He is very smart.  He is very well-mannered.  In other words, he embodies many of the best attributes of being a guy.  I really admire him.  Videos of him are on Calpernia and Adrea's websites.

Thank you very much. You literally made my day, I was kind of feeling a little down about my friends and family not taking me seriously but this makes me realize I have a lot more family here that does and cares about me. ^^

I'm really glad you think I pass well, that gives me strength and tells me I have less to worry about. And you're right, being myself is the most important part. :3
