Hi,
I have read old posts regarding epilating facial hair. I am female but suffer from facial hair and have tried everything to get rid of it. As i'm fair, laser is useless so I wanted another alternative. I bought the braun 7781 wet and dry epilator and now can easily epilate my face. It hurt like hell the first couple of times, purely because of the volume of hair it was pulling out but since I have been doing it for 3 months, it doesn't hurt at all anymore (promise) and is only red the night I do it. I would recommend epilating for anyone who can't have laser and wants a quicker solution than electrolysis. I have electrolysis inbetween epilating and have great results. My skin tone is now the same all over my face and I have no bobbles from shaving. For the first couple of weeks of epilating, I felt like giving up because it hurt and my face was red and lumpy. The same lumps you get after electrolysis. I'm glad i persevered as its the best hair removal choice i ever made and has changed my life. The bonus with this epilator is that it can be wet so u can have a good lather first so less friction occurs. Always exfoliate after, I bought a face exfoliating sponge and use it every morning with my usual face wash. Hope this helps some. x

I've plucked and used the battery operated tweezy, but I always get those darned red bumps!  My skin is very fair as well.  I tried the Nair thing, but it only burned my face and did next to nothing for my hair.

I'm not sure if it will help you, but  I used to use tend skin in a blue bottle which is for razor bumps and ingrown hairs, it may help your red bumps. Also, after epilating / tweezing, splash your face with cold water to close the pores.

I didn't have very good results with the Tweezy at all when I tried it, but I went on to try other epilators and have great results. I use a Braun model also, the Silk Epil I think. Don't have it near me now to check. But I will back up everything fozzybear said. I would recommend getting a corded one though, battery operated ones seem to run out too quickly. And it does hurt the first couple times you use it, but if you stay with it, epilating does wonders. My facial hair mostly doesn't even grow back now.

Maybe my hairs finally got the hint. :)

Really? The epliator took care of your facial hair? I will look into this because I don't think I can afford electrolysis for a while, and I'm really worried about my facial hair! =[

I'm mtf , had some facial electro done - still a work in progress. I have a braun silk epil (corded) that works great for body but will not do facial hair - beard !

I just priced epilators online, and they are not cheap!  I didn't see to many wet/dry ones.  Do you all think its best to get wet/dry verses dry only?

I just don't want to have those darn red bumps, at least longer than a day.

Is the best place to get one on line? I go for my 3rd laser treatment in 3 weeks. Soooo tired of facial hair...Epilating sounds interesting....

Thanks Dee! I will look into electro once I get a job and I will consider that or the emjoi ap-99. Hopefully I can go for electro because I'd rather do it now, not sure how much it will be and if I can afford =[

Has anyone used the Emoji Chic epilator?  CVS drug store sells them for 39.99.  It has 21 heads.

OK, I bought the Emoji Chic (also called Sin Dolor, I think) and I am taking it back.  It just is not strong enough for facial hair and I have to go over the area to many times and the motor bogs down.  Will have to wait until I can afford something better.

i have plucked my facial hair for like 2 years! and only two days ago did someone buy me an epilator that was for facial hair and it cuts my time in the bathroom in front of the mirror by half!  and a much more guarenteed smooth hairless finish. :)
though a little painfull but not much as im used too it
i highly reccomend it !
