Bump a Boob

I was at work today standing along the side of a co-worker, when she accidentally reach up and bump my chest with her elbow. I didn't say anything because it didn't matter, besides it was just a bump to my chest.

She then looks over her shoulder, smiles at me and goes "Hahaha if you were a girl I would have bumped your boobs." I just stared at her because I know for sure she doesn't know I'm trans or not a bio guy (She thinks I'm a regular guy). "Huh?" I asked her as though snapping out of being dazed. She smiled again and bumped her elbow to my chest. "Haha I would have bumped your boobs but you're a guy so you ain't got none." 

It kinda made my day even though I didn't react very much to it.

Just thought I would share.

I think she was being rude. I think she was testing you out. I know of no guy who would hit another guy in the chest and suggest it made him male because he didn't react. Be careful of this person.

Hey, wanted to say I agree with Cindy... Be really careful, she is testing you.  The good news is, in a weird irony, she is testing you.  That means she is determining your pass-ability, which means she perceives you as male.  In other words, she is finding what gender she thinks you are.  The reason I say she is testing you is she brought it up two times.  No female would bring that type of conversation up to anyone two times, as it is exceedingly rude and unthoughtful.  It questions one's own gender identity.  Just realize she is confused, and make it exceedingly apparent you are throughly male inside as you look it on the outside

Ah thanks for the tips Cindy & Forallittook. Now that you mention it, I guess I can see why she could/might want to test out my gender identity. At work some people straight up call me by male pronouns while other (mainly just some of the managers) call me by female pronouns because they know of my legal name and profile (though they don't address me by my legal name).

But seriously, I'll watch out. Thanks girls

Agreed with the girls. It seems a very strange thing for someone to do/say. You don't touch men and comment that they don't have boobs. Of course they don't have boobs.

I think you responded to it perfectly though. If anything, you've probably confirmed to her that you are male.
If there are any problems with her though, I'd just play the gynaecomastia card.

The guys where I work like to grab each others chests, shake 'em, and call it titty time.  (They're bigger guys so they have something to grab.)

Though I can see where it's possible that the girl was testing you, especially if she's heard the managers call you by female pronouns, while other people use male pronouns.  Perhaps have a chat with your managers?

I think the girl might've been confused because she'd heard someone address you as female or something else that would conflict with her perception of you as a male.  If anything, what she said seems almost nervous, as if she's trying to convince herself more than test you.  As in, by bumping your chest and not feeling boobs, she just affirmed that you are male.  That's a possibility, at least.  Either way, your reaction was a good one.

I was also wondering why is this a good thing when someone tells you "Haha you don't have boobs" suddenly.

It just doesn't seem right, either she knows something or heard something and wasn't sure, maybe she knows it all and tried to hint you.

Or she is just being weird due to something related to her boobs and it reminded her.

after reading all the replies and thinking about it, i agree that maybe she was testing you and confused about maybe hearing female pronouns, or that she was confused about hearing female pronouns but was saying in her own weird way "i don't believe them, you're a dude" basically confirming her belief in your gender identity. just a thought

Yeah, that could be it. But meh, by this point I don't care any more. I really liked all of the replies to this topic though. Gave me a chance to think outside of the box for a while and get under the skin of people's...thought process (for lack of a better description).
