Summer Arts provides new Viewpoints

Alexandra Billings can't help but think about the acting technique she teaches called Viewpoints -- even when she's sitting on a Fresno State campus bench having a smoke before class.

A young man ambles by.

"Look at him -- the way he makes his own tempo, the sort of rounded way he has of moving through space, the slight way he swings his arms," Billings says.

She points across campus at a woman, this one with a more purposeful stride.
