My friend is biological female dating a MtF. She is wanting a baby and was curious if she could still get pregnant or if she would need to seek other options. The MtF girl she has been dating has been doing hormone therapy for a little over a year? Also wondering if temporarily stopping spironolactone will help in doing this?

as far as I know, If been HRT for over one year, the chance to make her girl friend pregnant will be very very small, almost impossible, no matter if stop hormone or not. but he can go to the doc to check if there are still some good portion of sperm alive and active.

that's basically how it's done, stop hrt and wait a month or 2 and sperm count will might rise back up.

My girlfriend's friend dated a MTF as well, and they tried to make her fertile again... even doing T shots I believe. No werkie.

I'd go for a fertility test, but after nearly 1 year of estrogen and a year and a half of spiro, I can't ejaculate anything to test.

Most of us MTF will be 100% infertile for good around 6-8 months on hrt.

I was already infertile so it was no big deal too me.  ;)

I told her the news, and she is sorely disappointed. There is always adoption...

Thank you all for your quick responses!
