Hi all,

Thanks for all your replies on the pre op page. I went for my GRS/SRS yesterday at about 5.40pm. I was fairly chilled until they took me down and I had a little nervousness as they put the needles in. The surgery went well but i violently sick coming out of the anaesthetic and they had to give me an injection to stop the nausea. I'm in a little pain and on a 1-10 scale its probably 3/4. I lying on my bed flat trying to touch type, lol. Feeling rather sleepy so will sigh off and say good by for now.

Its wonderful to be on the other side even though I have not seen my frankinpussy yet, lol.

P.s have to try and change that ticker now, lol.

Welcome to the club. Glad you made it ok.

The pain probably peaks sometime during day two. I found that once I got through that without needing any meds it was pretty plain sailing from there on. But don't be a heroine, if you need them then take them.

I wouldn't bother about the ticker now...

Anyway welcome to the end of the beginning! :D

Edit - which room are you in. When Alison had her BA back in the days of Mike Royle and Mr Porter she went in there and was, I think, in one on the top floor...

yay Stardust! So glad you're doing well. The day after surgery I was still in a stupor, no way I could even send a text message! Welcome to the other side :)

Hi Jenny and all,

Yeah, the club of 2010, will have to have a big international get together sometime.

I'm on the top floor in room 11. Can see the sea from my bed and I want to go to the beach down there but they will not let me, lol.

Btw, do you have a roommate or is your room private? ...and how high is the mountain of bandages down below?

Sleep is good, rest well.

Hi Valerie,

Thankfully I'm in a private room with en suit facilities but I have the door open most of the time to see all the goings on. Bandages are not to high, lol.

Just an update,

I had my two drains out today and that felt really strange as they drew them out. It felt like a drawing sensations and someone pulling on the inside. It was sore for a while afterwards and one hole bleed a bit. Been feeling a little faint headed for most of the day and can hardly keep my eyes open. I am due to get out of bed tomorrow so that will be interesting.

Hiya, yes I have, so cool, not very swollen and it looks really neat. My surgeon came in today again to see me and he said it was a nice result, talk about boasting, lol. Still needs to settle down a lot though. I only saw it because they decided to change the dressing and asked if I wanted to see so they got my mirror and I said, OMG that looks really neat. I am so pleased with the aesthetics even now without the months of healing.

Only one problem my catheter came out and had to be put back in, owwww.

How are you?
