All those suplements gotta play hell on the gut.
Also, what I thought but since there seems to be only one person out of all the trans men in the trans internet community that has done natural transition.

he's actually taking supplements in order to minimize the negative effects of the supplements he's taking....sorry i don't mean to sound super-critical. if i'd do it, i'd make an educated choice instead of just eating myself through the whole list. i tool alpha lipoic acid as a only supplement for a while and it messed up my guts pretty badly as well as most other supplements i ever tried. but a lot of people don't have that

That's intense.  I can barely remember to take my two kinds of meds once a day, let alone that.  I don't believe in supplements.

Wow, I don't think I could ever do "natural transition".  I keep forgetting to take my multi-vitamin and my other med, let alone a whole bunch of pills.

After seeing the long wait and minimal results this process brings I only have one thing to say.

Why would you do it this way?
If you do not agree to my demands... TOO LATE

Also, taking all those supplements is definitely not what I'd consider "natural".

I feel the same...but it's called natural because it's a way of increasing your body's testosterone production instead of injecting testosterone.

Gender expression is NOT gender identity.

Defective Catastrophe.

I take DHEA and grape seed extract (it's an aromatase inhibitor) but this is just until I can get on T...I worry about what long-term use of DHEA would do to my thyroid and liver.   :-\

Wow... so thats the list, eh?

There is no way all that stuff can be cheap. And it's a lot of work for (what I could see) comparatively poor return.

For the disillusioned, I have my own "Naturally Male Lifestyle" method. Coffee, pizza, crazy shift work... and a shot of the ol' Sustanon 250 in the butt every two weeks.

It's guaranteed to have you looking downright studly faster, cheaper, and with a whole lot less effort (or none of your money back!)

natural transitioning is fairly common among MtFs but then we all start female in the womb anyway so perhaps some of these were never fully male at birth anyway and at some age their bodies decide to revert back to being female without any additional hormone therapy.

That definately can't be cheap, considering it costs me 3 dollars for 12 weeks supply of T in NZ!! When i was VERY impatient pre t i bought a bottle of that novadex xt stuff ( the testosterone booster) 1, it cost 100 bucks, and 2 it did NOTHING except make me hot and grumpy lol.
I do however think it might be a good idea to take some thermal suppliments to help with speeding up the metabolism when exercising.
Tristan seems like a great guy who is very passionate about his craft, but with regular endo check ups i feel pretty ok about T. I would only do it if i had already been body building and couldnt get my hands on T, better than getting T without a prescription i guess.

Wow that list is intense...doubt I could get my head around what to take when and for how long etc. Got to admire his determination to stick to NT.

I obviously can't speak for ftm transition, but I spent the first 14 months of my transition going the natural route and it produced almost no results. I was using TONS of supplements and creams, but all I got for it was bad breath and maybe a somewhat more youthful appearance.
But IDK, maybe battling T is much harder than producing it.  ???

I have a friend who eats ZMA pills and say they work. I'm wary of that stuff, though. Also, my mum's a chemist (she has a doctorate in non-organic chemistry), and we both get annoyed at things like "All-Natural Chemical-Free Soap!" and peopel who use the word "chemical" as if it was something bad. Water is a chemical, people. Wake up!

Anyway, I simply live on coffee, junk food, anxiety-induced sleep loss and the occasional gym visit for mental effects (lifting weights makes me feel like a big strong man, regardless of how shrimpy I actually am). I'm more of a boy than a man, though.
...that fey-looking freak kid with too many books and too much bodily fat

Well, since I posted last in this thread, I've stopped taking the DHEA.  I got bloodwork done recently and my DHEA levels had dropped drastically.  Also, it was giving me horrible insomnia (that, or the grape seed extract, I stopped taking it too).  I never meant to be on the supplements long-term; I didn't figure it take this long to get T though.   :-\  Those supplements are so expensive, I had looked at a few of them.

Hello, I was just reading about natural transitioning on another site and I hope someone can help me with the questions I have:

Does it stop periods at all?  If I simply took an estrogen blocker, would that be enough to stop the bleeding.  I have my reasons of not wanting to take testosterone but I do want the fat gone (especially on the breast and the thigh area).

For the past couple of years I've been on the Depo Provera shots in order to stop my periods but unfortunately it's now happening normally (as if I am not even on the shot)

Old thread has been res'd.

It made mine more frequent. An estrogen blocker might stop it but could cause other problems. If you want fat gone then getting yourself lean would likely do that while also probably putting yourself in an unhealthy situation...and getting really lean/staying lean would likely stop your period.

I think once you get that thin you're pretty unhealthy so I'd not recommend it.
