Tying up traffic on the Las Vegas Strip is not really a major accomplishment. A stretcher limo and two Volkswagens can do that any time of the day, and at least once if not twice a day usually do. Its considered part of the entertainment packages of several hotels there.
With the potty police installed in workplace restrooms like the toilets themselves and with nothing else for them to do when the restrooms are not invaded by the terrible ->-bleeped-<-s except agitate the major employers e-mail systems, what do you really expect. I for one would like to see us develop hard evidence for the business community that we transsexuals (pre, post or non) tend to be better and more valuable employees when our gender needs are met and dealt with humanly and humanely. Our proof that the bucks come in when the TGS are well cared for will do far more good than getting heatstroke in a town that has permanent heat stroke already!! I know that the work quality improvement and revenue generation happen, but at the minute I do not have the good numbers I think exist. Lets get them, and then we can do a comparison and see if happy and productive "T's" produce more $$$$$$$$$$$$ than an openly gay military person can produce dead Talib's. I suspect that the dead Talib's are more preferable to the type of person who is protesting ENDA on the bathroom bill though. Corporate shareholders though may exhibit enough avarice at their annual Stockholders Meetings to get the employers turned around. The one problem I can't do much about is the national sport of suing because your "moral sensitivities" have been offended. I think we should also find a way to point out that such employees were also the LOW producers on the factory line!!
Disclaimer- I do think that DADT is one of the most moronic things ever to come up, and its prececessor of total exclusion of GLB's from military service topped it by only about a third decimal point to the right of the decimal. If it is indeed gaining the momentum that Pelosi thinks it is, then I have no problem getting behind and pushing to get it there so our interest can get back on the road way.
