MONCTON - At nearly 35 years old, married, living a cookie-cutter life, Joe made a drastic, life-altering realization: she had been born in the wrong body. Joe decided to become Josie, and to undergo a sex change.

"I felt these feelings my entire life, but never knew transitioning would be possible," she told Here in a recent interview.

Josie has combated depression with therapy since she was a teenager, though she never quite understood or managed to uproot the cause.
