How to wear a binder?

I ordered my first binder, and I expect it will be here either tomorrow or the next day.  I have read before that layering is good, but cannot remember what kind of layering.  Would it be like putting on a tank top-binder-shirt?  Or the binder-tank top-shirt?  I can't remember where I saw this, as I have looked through quite a few old posts.  Any general binding advice about layering or anything else related to binding?

To avoid irritating your skin too much wear a shirt under it either a beater or tank top or tshirt of some sort. Then you can really wear whatever you want over your binder. Some people just throw a shirt on. I put a white undershirt on and then my regular shirt.
Call me a cheat but I make my own fate.

I don't wear a shirt under my binder because it makes weird imprints on my skin.

AND I ALSO HAVE A PUGGLE OMG, WANT!

You say you don't wear a shirt under the binder...do you wear one over it?  Or do you just wear the binder and then whatever shirt you are wearing that day?

Hehe, I love puggles!  They are so cute.  I actually got mine for free, cause someone my dad worked with was getting rid of her, and my dad offered to take her :)

Tank top-binder-shirt is what I do.
Binder-tank top-shirt is what I wish I could do to eliminate the "pop-out" effect, but im so used to wearing something under &I can't layer too much.
Gender expression is NOT gender identity.

I also have to stick with binder-tank top-shirt, then usually an over shirt to eliminate the "pop out" effect that femboy mentioned. If I don't then it digs into my skin and starts to bruise. Sometimes I use a thin sports compression shirt under it instead because the material is lighter than the usual cotton during the summer though.
