Pros
-  My boobs have shrunk (I used to be a 30E.  Yup, you read that right.  After breastfeeding two kids, I am a 34C.  I bind effortlessly, thank the gods).
-  The menopause appears to be giving me a boyish frame.  My waist has thickened considerably and my twig-thin arms are finally gaining a little fat.
-  I have had tattoos, short hair and wardrobe full of "butch" clothes and boots for eons.  It isn't a major culture change to just start wearing men's trousers rather than butch women's ones.
-  I have a wonderful partner, friends and family who happily try to remember to call me by my chosen name and use the right pronouns.  This really helps on the confidence front.

Cons
- I am tiny (5' 5") and slight.
- I have a pretty femmy face (boo!)
- I have a long, thin neck.  But the dumbells are helping me considerably with that one.
- I have quite a low voice, but not blokey low.
- I am as camp as Christmas.

I'm 5'5" as well but I console myself on the fact that two of my biomale best friends are also 5'5" and do alright for themselves.  Fill out a bit on T and it won't matter   :)

Extra Cons
5,4 -If I'm luck I MIGHT hit 5,5. If I'm LUCKY  >:(
Low voice, but clearly female

Extra Pros
Small chest (I started binding when i was a small B...I think I've gone down to a large A though)
Practically no waist, due to rib cage (Yay heredity!)

cool thread.

ok pros.

I dont have super large hips, I have love handles, but I think on T I should be pretty narrow
I have a small butt
I have not super huge boobs
I have nice (i think) masculine cheek hollows (check profile pic)
voice is... eh, more female then male

cons
I have no freaking body hair.. I havent shaved my legs in months and I can hardly even see the hair
I have a soft face and soft skin
small hands and feet
not super tall maybe 5'5
tiny freaking shoulders

goody.

Pros
thick eyebrows
German jaw
really hairy arms, legs, everything
Not too curvy
Supposedly my hands look masculine despite being small
thin lips

Cons
I'm 5"1'
Can't always control my voice
I'm excitable and blab a lot, thus losing control of voice, sounding like a girl

  •

Nathan.

Pros:
Body hair, I have a happy trail  :)
I think my mannerisms are pretty male.

Cons:
Large chest
Large hips
I'm 5'1
My face looks feminine
  •

Bones

Pro's

Always had a masculine voice, naturally deep
Thick eyebrows
Masculine-ish face before T
Not overly large chesticles
No waist or ass
Very hairy
Very quiet and monotone
Broad shoulders and back.
Muscle definition rocks when I work out

Con's
Very tiny build. 5'1" and only about 115 lbs. Thin wrists, tiny hands and feet.
I think most of my con has to do with my height and body build, since I have a small frame. If it weren't for that, I think I would have less issue passing.

emil

pros:
i'm tall (5'11'')
and skinny (not a lot of butt nor boobs there)
i have learned to lower my voice and now i can do it all the time and it feels and sounds natural

cons:
super-skinny wrists and arms.
my face is so feminine that i never passed with short hair (actually i pass better with longer hair)
i'm really pale and fragile looking, so even though i pass a lot now, people tend to think i'm a junkie (when they used to think i was 'hooot'  ::) )
  •

owl

Pro:
Bushy eye brows
Long leg hair (black)
Nice jaw line

Big butt

I can't think of a single pro   :-\   I just look awful.  I dress very well, maybe that's a pro?  Actually I do have quite good leg muscles from running.

Aww, don't be such a pessimist, you don't look bad at all to me.

My dysphoria was rubbish that day.  I'm not that bad.  It's just sometimes though I look in the mirror and just see hips and nothing else.

I know what you mean, I can get the same way although it's not surprising. So, real pro list now?

Well I've been on T for a year, so I pass.  But I'll mention things that bother me and that I believe that are dead give-aways to my female past.

Pros:
-I have enough body hair to cover several people.
-5'8 and 10 in mens shoes.
-My voice isn't too helium-ish

Cons:
-My @#$%^&* body fat hasn't redistributed yet. I have a small waste and good sized hips.  No fat on my stomach.  It's all in the typical female areas that it was pre-T
-Really thin forearms.
-I think I look younger than my age (19) because of the baby fat that's still in my cheeks

Nesque

I am not on T yet, but I will be next year (thank goodness -_-)

Pros:
-I am quite hairy
-I have a square-ish bone structure, and a bit of an adams apple
-Pretty thin, big hands/feet
-Generally behave like a guy/sit like a guy
-Very androgynous face

Cons:
-Super soft/smooth face
-Short, about 5"4
-My voice...when I get excited, or I'm talking to someone thats cute etc, my voice goes really girly and high pitched
-Very pear shaped body, very feminine body shape under all my baggy clothes
-Big hips/lovehandle stuff :/
-Medium breasts
-Really plump-ish face
-Tiny waist
-Sticky-outy ass, really curvy spine o.o

No T yet for me  (can't afford the Therapist right now...garrr!!!)but:

Pros:
-with short hair I can pull off the boy-band look (which is better than nothing I say!)
-long hands/fingers and feet
-not very curvy
-man legs (very prominant kneecaps, and not curvy)

Cons:
-the Butt. It's girly. Blah.
-my smile...gives me away instantly
-voice
-I'm short :(
The biggest thing that keeps me from passing is my attitude. I'm so nervous all the time, and that makes me appear feminine.  :icon_shakefist:

Anyone else think these look like shopping lists? haha!

Pros:
Masculine facial features, heavy jaw & chin
Masculine distribution of bodyfat - skinny everywhere except for beer-gut, very little on hips & butt.
Very small moobs. Like, the last time I had them measured I was like a 36AA. They don't show at all when I'm binding.

Cons:
Short - 5'5
Very small feet and hands. I have to buy my shoes in the childrens' section.
Voice - not terribly high pitched but does give me away. I sing mezzo-soprano - REALLY need to change that.
Girly legs, big thighs and cellulite  :(
Not very hairy (except the inside of my shins)

Quote from: aydan_boy on July 26, 2010, 02:34:05 PMSo, I'm wondering, what do you see as your physical downfalls that stop you from passing? How about the features you believe help you pass better, or make you feel more male? This is mostly for the pre-ops, but anyones free to answer.

For my pluses which help me to pass:

-I have a pretty slim and non-curvy body - I'm underweight which helps.

-I have a fairly strong jawline.

-My eyebrows are thick, but they're a little too naturally arched for my liking.

-I have pretty good muscle definition even though I don't work out much.

-I'm hairy, too!  WOOT!

-My body language has always masculine - it's not much effort to 'try' to 'act' more manly.

-I have a masculine haircut - and fortunately I think I pull off the mohawk pretty well.

-I think that my eyebrow piercing is a subtle thing, but helpful.

The drawbacks and things which don't help:

-My voice, although ambiguous, is still too high-pitched to fool anyone.

-My eyebrow shape.

-My skinny slender hands.

-My small nose.

That's about all I can think of.
