I've been on T for only 4 months but I'm noticing A LOT of fat redistribution. I've definitely gained muscle and I've actually lost 3 pounds since starting T but Jesus Christ my belly is disgusting. Has anyone else noticed a big problem with belly fat? Since I'm only 4 months on T I'm sure I've got more fat to redistribute and I'm not happy about it.

If I might ask a related question...  I'm a little confused.  I've read that T causes your fat to redistribute and move to your belly (masculine), but I've also read that it moves fat away from your abdomen (feminine) and that for MtF's estrogen also moves fat to the belly/abdomen region.  I'm underweight yet I've got fat that sits below my belly button, between my hips.  It was my understanding that this was feminine?  What's the difference? ???

I think it's that guys tend to carry their belly fat a little higher.

I already have tons of belly fat, not looking forward to what's on the hips and butt joining what's in front...  Got to work harder on getting more fit.

sorry to say this but for me the fat has gone from my ass and hips (yay!) but sadly it has been a lot harder to get rid of on my belly. :(

lots of fat guys carry their fat above their belts - I was never fat and didn't have that but estrogen has given me a slightly rounded belly under the belt which is very nice.

My fat has gone from my ass to my stomach. At first it didn't look like it really redistributed but instead just disappeared. But it finally has shown up on my stomach. I honestly don't care cause I was insanely self conscious about my ass not being male and stuff. Now if my love handles would relocate that would be great. I'm not even big, I'm skinny, but I still have the fat on my sides.

I'm just like you. I'm skinny but  now I have a belly. You've gotta admit being able to grab belly flab isn't pleasant. haha

Same as those two. I'm skinny, but it's gone to my stomach. I've still got noticeable fat on my sides though.

Ok, not to ick anyone out (and this is not a pic of me, just something I got off the internet)

This is where my belly sits (not on HRT or anything) and most guys this build (born male) have their belly.

.......Belly fat.... :( I think thats gunna be the only down side for T for me... Do your legs (upper thighs to be precise) get any thinner on T?

mine have a lot. I'm spanish so most of my fat has always been located in my upper thighs. Like Zombies my ass has shrunk too. I'm very happy to have a more male shape but the belly is gross and will take awhile to lose.

The difference between male and female belly fat is that male pattern collects behind the abdominal muscles and feminine fat lies between the skin and abs.

Females also tend to have this sort of "pouch" beneath the navel, separate from the upper abdomen/rib cage area.

^^That would explain why I can still see my ab muscles cause if I had this amount of fat on my stomach pre-T or even a little, I couldn't see them at all.

Mine have quite a bit already. The fat/structure change is a long process and isn't usually complete until 2-3yrs on T. I'm impressed with how much my body has changed in shape already, so it's amazing to think I've still go so far to go.
