I saw a couple therapists at my school. (4 depression) and they were really nice people, but not so helpful. They were equipped for average student problems, drinking, dating, roommate squabbles, stress because of finals, but anything 2 severe/permanent and all they could do was hold your hand and say the sun will come up tomorrow.
I guess try it, but I wouldn't expect to much. The ones at my school are free though, so maybe if they charge where ever you are, that could be a good sign?
and how have you been searching? you might try regular websites that list therapists/psychiatrists, and then just look through the ones in your area, and check their specialties. time consuming, but possibly helpful (that is if you haven't tried that already)
and I've never had e-therapy, but it sounds a little sketchy to me, especially for something as sensitive as this. I'd leave it as a last resort.
