I would let my children dress the way they wanted. Playing with dolls is not only for girls and matchbox cars not only for boys. I think it's great that Jolie brings her children up this way, so they don't feel like certain things are "for girls" and others are "for boys".
If a boy wants to have a manicure kit, he could have a hard time in kindergarden or something, but at least his parents should support him in doing whatever makes him happy. And maybe even talk about it, that society tells women and men how to be. To explain it to kids in a way they can understand. Explaining them, that this is how society works, but not necessarily has to. So they know they can be however they want to be, without pressure.
It would be great if children learned from young age, that they can be what /who they want to be. At least that it's okay for their parents.
