So guys, I'm getting a haircut tomorrow, and I just suddenly started freaking out over it.
I'm wondering if it will actually suit me, or if I'll just look like a total prick before it grows out again.. This is the style I would like:
Aaand, here are a few very recent photos of me:

(Wow, I look miserable! :D)

Do you think it would look aright? I'm not really sure but I love the style, and I've wanted something like this for a while.

Kvall: Yes, it is, I was planning on keeping mine curly after I initially got the hairdresser to do it, but I'm already not as keen on this style now. Hmmm<__>

awesome cut. i think it would look really good on you. just make sure to tell them not to take off any of your length at the top, and that they trim then down in the back, or else you'll end up  with a cut like this one:

you could actually get a loose perm on top if you hair is not naturally wavy....that way you won't have to bother with curling your hair

i think the style looks really cool. like kvall said, the bangs might make you look more feminine.
i'd definitely give it a shot though and see how it looks, because of its length you'll be able to cut it down to something more traditional if you don't like it.

emil: I was thinking of a perm actually, but I think the hairdresser only does cuts/dyes. I'm sure she could temporarily curl it for me though.
Matt: I'm not too worried about the bangs, actually, and if they do make me look more feminine I could always cut them, just like you and Kvall said.

You guys are making me a tad fickle about this, but I'll probably go with it now, lol.

Well, however the bangs look they can be changed as stated, but the short cut at the sides should aid in the looking more masculine department from the pictures you've posted.

i actually really like the style and if you decide to keep it it'd be cool to see how it looks  8)

JosephKT: I'm hoping my hairdresser won't mind cutting it quite short on the sides this time!
Matt: Yeah, the style is pretty cool, I actually started liking this style more and more after seeing some artwork of a character with that kind of hair. I'll be sure to post something of my new hair when I get it done. BD

Hmmm... if your hairdresser actually minds how you want your hair to be done you may want to try someone else.  I was really lucky to find a hairdresser back when I was only tentatively dressing as a man, and she was really supportive in explaining how men cut their hair as opposed to women who just like short hair.  Before her a lot of hairdressers would give me a cut that made me look for like a butch lesbian, excuse the term, than a man, and that's a real killer when trying to pass.

I know. The hairdresser was actually a friend of my sister (I'm not out to either of them) and I didn't really want to say anything that would seem weird to her, or the hairdresser, so I wasn't very persistent. I will be tomorrow, though, even if it means making the atmosphere more awkward. But I went with this hairdresser because she's fairly cheap, and my sister would always be able to take me (I'm fairly socially inept, so getting around on my own is troublesome a lot of the time).
