Destroying the tissue?

Hi!
I used a T-Kingdom model 1700 binder yesterday. Underneath it, I had taped my breasts down and to the sides with duct tape. It became nice and flat, didn't hurt a lot (except for removing it -ow, my nipples!). However, I'm worried: does binding permanently destroy the breast tissue? Because, well, what if I change my mind? Currently, I feel like this body, with all its curves and whatnots, isn't mine. So I bind my breasts (the least I can do, at least at the moment). However, when I get older, what if I wanna be super-feminine and then I've ruined my breasts because of stupidity in my youth? :(

I've bound for less than a month. My breasts are 38 C.

Sorry if my English is weird; I'm not a native speaker.

yes it will break down breast tissue

I have been binding almost every day (for about 6-10 hours) for 12 months.. my chest has gotten saggier, it has less perkyness

Yes, I have heard anecdotally that binders can break down breast tissue, but I can't find anything definitive on it.  I also wonder whether they increase the risk of breast cancer, as any interference with the breast (such as tight underwiring) can do this.

If you are unsure, why not wear your binder on a time-limited basis, only when you feel you have to.  For other times, a minimiser bra might be a less intrusive way to reduce their impact.

Thank you for your replies.

I feel that they look... wrong on me, it's like I got someone else's body by mistake. A young woman's body on someone who isn't a woman. The breasts and the hips make me look very strange (to me, at least), so I mentally photoshop them away when I look at myself in the mirror. When I look at my reflection, I try to pose so that they aren't noticeable, but sometimes I see what I actually do look like and it makes me really sad.

So... Yeah. I got the best results when I used the duct tape (I only taped them to the sides and a bit downwards, I didn't put tape all over them).

I'm very confused right now. I feel like I've got a woman's body and I'm not a woman. It's a very strange feeling.

When you bind always make sure things are moved to the sides or up, do not bind down. Pushing them down causes more sagginess.

Tape is also a horrible binding tool. Not only does it damage the skin but it has no give so you can easily bind far too tight. You need something that breathes and stretches both for the health of your skin and for your lungs.

From my experience, those feelings don't go away or weaken with time. But you may be different.

Don't bind then, or use something light like a sports bra. How much does it bother you?

I use tape as extra-binding underneath my binder, so I'm not using tape only.

I tried wearing a sports bra yesterday, and it didn't really work. I mean, it felt weird and looked weird.

Today I wear tape again.

Anyway, I started wearing a bra this year, which means that I haven't for approx. 3-4 years. Will this change anything?

I'm sorry for my n00b-ish questions...

Dude, you've got to quit using tape to bind. You can (and will) cause serious damage to yourself.

The best way to get flat and be safe is layering. You may want to try wearing a RashGuard under your binder to get flatter. It will allow your chest to breathe and won't damage the skin tissue either.

Check some of the binder tips on the forum. And seriously, stop using tape - even as an extra binder. You're going to hurt yourself.  :-\

I'm sorry to be such a noob, but what's a RashGuard?

When I take my binder off, my chest looks like this: http://pici.se/pictures/IfYAFYJJf.png
If I've worn tape underneath the binder, it looks like that except that 10 angry cats have clawed on them as well.

I hope that you can stand my bad Paint sketches and stupid questions...

Thank you all for your kind replies.

A RashGuard is a spandex shirt that people use when surfing and participating in other water sports. They aid in compression and are breathable. Most sporting goods stores carry them.

Try putting a RashGuard or even a men's tank top (or 'wife beater')  on under your binder. It will aid in compression and stop the red marks from the binder. :)

Thank you, Aiden, for your great tips. I'll go look for some nice wifebeaters to wear underneath the binder! : ^-^

Is there any other binder that's better than the T-Kingdom 1700? I can't afford to buy a new one right now, but maybe after the winter holidays, if I'm lucky. I would be grateful for advice.
