So HRT has blessed me with girlie thighs and a butt. And I am so happy about that. However, it's what is above that that concerns me.

Is there anything that any of you have used that seems to help this out?

I'm currently dieting and exercising, but I guess I wanted a quick solution while I trim at the gym.

I still look a little on the big side around the chest area, that I am hoping the HRT along with the exercise will help, although I don't seem to think that my shoulders will change much.

Oh and another question...
If I am around 6 ft. what do you think the ideal weight for a woman should be.  I keep seeing different things posted around the net.
So far I have
185 at most
125 at the bottom end

Right now I use a Lrg in panties, a size 15 in jeans but my top portion is XL to XXL for ladies. And the problem is I do have some curves, but the plus sized stuff is shaped for chunky women and I guess I'm built like a ladies Volleyball/basketball player.

And yes, I'm trying not to obsess with this.  :P

Thanks!
Stephie

125 is too little. Don't aim for that. I'm 5' 6" and 120 lbs. So. . . you should most likely weigh more than that.

I'm not much help but I'm going to take a wild guess here and say that you're going to get a lot of people suggesting corsets.

Thanks for that.
I go to a Gym and workout for about an hour. I am doing a lot of cardio. Then I do my crunches and work on my core. I don't do any top type of exercises at all.
I'm trying to stay within 1800 calories per day. At least for now. So far I am losing some pounds but I am seeing  that the HRT (yes only on Spiro and E) is making it a little harder on me. But I didn't want to wait til I had lost a lot of weight (I mean I wasn't really heavy --maybe "husky" for a girl). I HAD to start. LOL
I think I'm doing okay for now, but it doesn't seem fast enough. I'm just top heavy for now.
I'm actually eating something similar to what you suggested too. I just feel tired a lot.  Maybe it's the spiro?
Again, thanks for your input!

185 sounds about right.  At 6', anything under 150 would be very slender.  125 and 6' sounds skeletal.

Your lower limit weight is too low. If you take BMI as a guide, then 6 ft "normal" range is about 136 lbs to 184 lbs.

Yeah, I'm 5'10 and the lowest I can probably go without being completely unhealthy would be 150lbs.

I'm at around 170lbs right now and it's hard enough to keep that down....not sure if I can ever get down to 150 or even if I want to. I think my boobs got bigger since I went from 160 to 170lbs and I don't want to lose them! lol

HHmm, good stuff! Thanks for the input. My Doc tells me I shouldn't worry too much and that she is very happy with the results I've had. But she also says that many TS tend to become Anorexic and that I talk like one! So, I'm paranoid now. LOL
Hugs!

At 6 ft even 165 lbs would put your BMI right in the middle of a healthy weight.

I'm 6ft (185cm) and go between 115-130 pounds(avg: 57kg) depending on the amount of partying I've done lol. Sitting at 125 now after Xmas feast but cha when I had a male body people told me to eat more, now their just jealous hehe :)

I don't believe in diets, from what I've seen from all my friends it's people who skip meals who stay thin & those that always think about food/dieting that have trouble. Pains of hungryness don't compare to lazering hair & u get a better result lol..of course after a little while u only need 1 good meal & some snacks to get through! I do cheat by smoking/coffee/gum though hehe

But -- Even though I couldn't get skinnier I have noticed my genetic gfs waists are smaller so going to buy a overbust steel corset to train down lower ribs & waist. Although this shifts organs it's a fair bit safer without a uterus & doctors agree if done slowly there shouldn't be any damage.

I'm 6' 1", and at the point of starting HRT, I weighed 145 lbs, with a BMI of 19.1, which is just on the verge of underweight. I'm skinny. I hardly have any fat at all on my body, other than maybe a couple extra pounds on my tummy. I wear size 4-5 bottoms (low cut jeans, skirts, and panties, anyway), and I can probably get away with a size 8 dress, as long as it's sleeveless. I've gotten up to about 150, last I checked, but I'd really like to be up around 170, I think...so long as it all goes to my hips, ass, and tits. I currently measure about 33A-29-36.

*pukes* I tried this and it tasted sooo bad like drinking chicken, eating them individually is fine though.
I don't know, sounds kinda tasty to me... I could stand to loose a few pounds

*Going to Wally world to look at blenders and juicers tomorrow*

I am currently 5'9 and 110 pounds...i am tired all the time, losing lots of my hair, i am starting to grow small little dark peach fuzz all over my body (it's so gross), my face is sunken in, i bruise easily...yeah. So no 6' and 120 lbs cannot be healthy =\

And yeah its gross :P Didnt think it had anything to do with not eating thou......Havent noticed hair loss or bruising but cha face could definetly be fuller! Would love to see what I look like at around 145 pounds but starved my stomach to much over last few years to the point its really hard to eat. Unless you transition VERY young you won't have the bone structure to give you hips and thighs.  Usually the hips and thighs come from fat deposits.  That explains the extra baggage around the mid section.  Fat is very regimented.  As you gain weight, wherever it goes on first will be the last place to leave as you lose weight.  Surgically removing the fat cells (liposuction) is the only way to target fat loss.

The whole BMI thing doesn't work for TGs if you don't use your birth gender when doing the calculations.  It also doesn't take into consideration bone density, muscle bulk and other things that have nothing to do with being fat.  My partner (who is skinny as a rail) went to a health club and they did an initial analysis.  They had her stand on a scale, took her height and said she was overweight.  She has virtually no fat on her body.  Then she met with a trainer who looked at her chart, looked at her and shook his head.  "You're obviously not fat!"  BMI is only a guideline and can be thrown way off by using your identified gender.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.
