Third time lucky

Hi,

I'm about 18 years post-op. I was done in 1992 by Michael Royal and had a follow up urethra trim 6 months after. I've always been generally pleased with my surgery - appearance, function and sensuality but despite the revision the urethra area swelled during sex and was uncomfortable and ugly.  My partner didn't seem that bothered so we decided to live with it.. until recently. I just wondered... maybe they can do new things now (Dr Royal advised me not to tinker ny further for reasons I've since forgotten).

Well last week I took the brave step with a UK surgeon and had a further revision (third time lucky?).  My initial impression is hopeful. The area looks much more natural and pretty. The only challenge at this point is that I can only just get two fingers inside - not not my usual playthings including my man. I hope this is just down to swelling and I don't want to rush things too much for fear of damaging the further surgery. My big fear is that the work may have reduced the width of my vagina's entrance.  If I delay inserting something of suitable width too long I worry that the width may shrink.

On the day of my surgery - last wednesday - my surgeon said give it a few days before penetration again but I plan to contact him early next week for advice. Anyone any experience of a urethra trim please (technically know as removal of excess corpus spongiosum)? Any advice people? Thanks eyeryone and lov to all <3 xxx

Third time lucky

Feeling much better now. :) Just braved inserting a soft sex toy about 30mm wide (1 half inch) and got about 80mm inside (3 inches or so). Used lots of lubricant. Did this very carefully a few times, checking surgical area each time. No damage - hugh sigh of relief. Felt things stretching inside. Confident will go to my existing depth but didn't push any further. I think its going to be ok. Will post updates on this as people may find it helpful in future if they have to do what I've done.

Congratulations on the success of your op, and thanks for posting about it here!

Is the recovery period generally long for this?
