So -- I've been amping myself up for a heart to heart conversation on beinf FTM with my mum. She doesn't seem to understand as much, even when I try to explain. She's trying I know, but unless we sit down, JUST TWO PEOPLE, and actually talk -- I'm doommed~

SO!! Does anyone have any decent topic starters? All I can seem to muscle out of my wacky little brain is "Soooo Mum......" and the oh-so-overused -- " Heyyyyy Mooooommm~~~" .... Y'know? She's learned them and tends to avoid me with a quick "Not right now, I'm busy" -- and I can't just go up to her and be all "So about that fake penis that I wanted~" ...

a good time would be while you're in the car (preferably while you're driving) - that way she can't leave.
if you think she would be responsive to a polite note telling her that you would appreciate if you two could talk for a little while, try leaving one on her bed or somewhere you know she'll see it.

I wussed out and had my therapist tell my mother.  I'm still having to think of a way to come out to my family and friends, but I think it'll be something along the lines of "Hey, I need to tell you something important, and I want you to let me finish before you say anything..."  I'll also try to work in the "How do you know you're a [insert gender here]?  What if you lost your [body part] due to injury or disease?  Would you still be a [gender]?"  And keep questioning them until they realize that gender is something that goes deeper than the physical body.

When I told my mom for the first time, I sent her an email. I sent it at night when she was in bed, right before I went to bed for the night. That way when she got up and read the email she could think about it before approaching me about it.

Trust Me -- I've done this before. It didnt blow over well... When we went to a therapist *Because I was so stressed I was hearing and seeing people for a short period of time* -- and the only thing the therapist said was that I was depressed.... For writing to my mum... about being Gay and Transgender.... >> -- SOoo yeah~

Thank you though~ I tried today to talk in the car, but as the time got closer my mums boyfriend had to be taken to the hospital and it was gone. QnQ

i always use the "hey mom, could we talk about something?"

ugh the first time i told her hurt a lot :c
she said that i would never be able to be a real man even with "t" or surgery and some ->-bleeped-<- like that, tomorrow i have a session with my psychologist and my parents so we can talk about the transition thing, if you have a therapist maybe you should try that too

KHOL -- I'm trying. But I'm not sure if my health insurance is good or not. Gotta talk to a doctor first.

Bones -- I would totally use that if it weren't for the fact that I don't remember anything from when I was ten except trying to cut up that damn child leash >:U
