have a good think about whether you can live a good unknown number of years as an in-closet male or if the feelings of being TS are genuine.  Most TS find that relationships break down so it might be a good idea to have a good talk with the girl about getting trapped by pregnancy.
Good luck, many of us have been there.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Finally! Someone in the same sociological area of the south! Although im from northwest Georgia, people over here act almost the same in Alabama from times i have visited. Its gonna be all right. I suggest looking online for a therapist who specialize in the field and give them a call. welcome here! Btw, i just recently came out to, and its awkward at first around those you love, but you know who you are on the inside and stick to it girl!

Btw, there's a joke us Georgians have about Alabamans: Its only in Alabama where you can marry Y'er cousin (I'm just messing with you!  >:-)). I am happy for you, as she will help you out a lot!

I know a few more of us are from Mississippi on this forum, and I bet the South is represented reasonably well here.

Welcome aboard.

Another Small town Georgian here.............thank god I live near the ATL though.  I wish you the best.  I know how hard it is to come out when living in such a closed minded area.  I've started to face life with confidence and not try to hide who I am, and I've found that transitioning isn't as horrible as I thought it would be.  Lost a lot of friends, but I have gained just as many.  I hope if you decide to transition, life goes well for you too.
Whatever you think is....probably really isn't as you think.

Shreveport, LA here :)

IDK how closed minded this area is, the mayor just passed a law that doesn't allow city employers to discriminate against transgendered. We are apparently just big enough to have at least 1 endo (that works in a charity hospital, btw) that helps alot of us out with HRT... I'm still waiting for my letter tho :(

Hi there from the Far Deeper South!! Next stop Antarctica  ;D

There seem to be a fair few guys and girls from your part of the world, I am sure they will come out and say hi too. Lots of good stuff here.

Savannah is a nice city in certain areas. I like the river walk shops and the shopping area in town. I used to visit during high school year for all state chorus. Always lots of fun! Wow lots of support here in the south! I'm loving it!

The south seems to be a place of manners. Yes there are exceptions (there are exceptions everywhere) but for the most part, from what I've seen, here everybody keeps their mouth shut and keeps to their own business, even if they're bigots at heart.

I had an experience today, I'd like to share:

I was working at a truck stop today. While writing an invoice at the front desk around truck drivers and mechanics at the service desk, a non-passing trans came in and asked where the rest area was. I looked at her and just shrugged, not knowing where and told her to ask the people behind me because I do not work here. Nobody that concerned themselves with her seemed to pay any attention, but the people that were in the know actually helped her out quite nicely. One lady even took her stuff and helped bring it up to the rest area for her. Moments after she left a trucker joked saying to somebody coming in from outside, "didya see what just came by here? hah hah hah"

It was annoying that he said that, but at the same time I felt a little more secure because he at least tried to save her some sort of embarassment.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

as my dear sweet clueless mother (I've come out to my parents but she just doesn't understand every thing just yet) put it
"everyone is famous in a small town." guess I'm just shooting for Infamous XD

Florence Al,

Here.

Anna

Really now?

I'm about an hour and a half due west of you (if that much)

How's Florance for a t-girl?

I seem to recall having read some good things about the resources available in Huntsville but I'm foggy on that.

Jesse, what part of North Alabama - East or west?
Disclaimer: due to serious injury, most of my posts are made via Dragon Dictation which sometimes butchers grammar and mis-hears my words. I'm also too lazy to closely proof-read which means some of my comments will seem strange.

cullman county, or redneck central. but there are quite a few resorces in huntsville for a Trans male or female, my psych is in huntsville along with my laser place and the NAGC meets there once a month, so I am kinda of partial to Huntsville.

now all i've got to do is find a  GP or Endo.
