Transsexual sues ex-employers after she 'was sacked for dressing as a woman'

http://www.thisislincolnshire.co.uk/news/Transsexual-sues-ex-employers-claiming-sacked-dressing-woman/article-2544582-detail/article.html

A TRANSSEXUAL is suing her former employers, claiming she lost her job after she came to work dressed as a woman.

Rachel Millington, 24, has been living as a woman for a year ahead of undergoing hormone therapy next year and eventually gender reassignment surgery.

But Rachel, who was formerly called Andrew, is taking her former employer to tribunal next month.

Ye Gods!

I thought the UK was pretty broadminded, but looking at the torrent of abusive comments that this article seems to have unleashed from the people of Lincoln apparently not! I am so glad I live in Cornwall where, in the main, people are rather more open minded.
