Wearing an Underworks binder during P.E.?

It hadn't even crossed my mind before, but today I was thinking about gym class and I was wondering if I'd be able to wear an Underworks binder in gym? Is it comfortable? Or is it a bad idea, and are they hard to breathe in when being active? If they are, is there a better way I could flatten my chest during gym?

It's usually not recommended to wear a binder while doing physical activity - unless you're wearing a binder that's a big big, which doesn't compress as much.

I'd suggest looking into one of the high performance sports bras - Title Nine has a lot of good ones that will aid in compression. And you may want to double up for the best results.

I had the double front by Underworks back in highschool and I wore it to gym without much trouble.  It did not really make it hard  for me to breathe or anything like that.  The only issue I had was the binder rolling up at the bottom.  I had to constantly unroll it every couple of minutes if I did not want it all bunched up.

we're talking about high school phys ed. not varsity sports.

is your gym class one of those that's really active, or is it a 'show up, you pass' type enviroment?

I personally would, but I've done some experimenting to see what worked for me. I have 2 binders, and one is a little looser that I wear if I know I'm going to be doing something active.  Put on your binder and go for a jog or bike ride, or go play basketball or something.  See how you feel and how much it affects or breathing and movement, and then decide from there if you want to wear it for gym class.

Everyone is different, and just because other guys here say they can or can't run in a binder doesn't mean it will be the same for you.

I wouldn't wear my newer one but my old binder thats like a year old and has alot of give in I use to go to the gym and go jogging in and stuff. So yeah as long as it isn't super tight it should be fine.

You could also try an actual sports compression tank like http://store.skins.net/intl/all-products/c400-mens-compression-baselayer-tank-top.html ... most of the sporting brands like Nike and Adidas have them and well, they're made for sports so ...

I wear mine for physical activity and even for swimming, and it's fine. I was on the cusp between a small and a medium - my first was a small and it was way too tight. Next time I got mediums and they're much better.

I have the tri-top and it's very comfortable for sports for me. It seems even more practical than a sports bra, because the binder prevents movement of the breasts, whereas a sports bra still allows some movement. At times, I have even spent over 24 hours in the tri-top. My binder has been stretched out over the course of more than a year and is not overly tight so it might be more comfortable for me than other people. The only problem I have is dealing with the sweat that accumulates on the binder. Most people don't have a surplus of binders to cycle through and it can be annoying to wash the binder everyday or deal with the dirtiness. Try it out in your gym class once to see how it works out.

Thanks guys, I'm ordering it tomorrow, and I'll definitely try it out before school starts. My gym class is pretty much show up and pass. Last year we'd run for about 5 minutes, then you just have to pretend like you're interested in the activity. So I think it'll work out. :)
