Susan-49

Hi everyone.
My name is Susan and I am new to this site. I have been reading the posts and find them interesting and enlightening.
I have been a CD since I was very young. I don't know what draws mw to it but I know I can not stop. I have tried and it does not work.
I am 57 and have just started to come out. I have gone to neighboring towns to try on dresses and have driven home with my bra and wig on. Once I went into a CVS store with my wig on and no makeup. I have had a few makeovers.
I have been married 31 years, unfortunately my wife does not approve so activities must be done behind her back which limits things. I love her dearly and do not like to be this way (towards her) but I have to address my feelings and wants too.
I would love to talk with others and learn more about myself. This has not been easy before the internet.
I love to dress in fancy dresses especially ball gowns and wedding dresses. The feel of a tight bra and gown is heaven.
I live in SW Michigan. There is a lot of activity in Chicago area but to go there for an evening is not possible.
Anyway - you sound like a great bunch of girls and I am hoping to learn from you as well as tell you about my experiences.
Hugs to all

Hi Susan Kay
Thank you for the welcome! I feel closer already.
There are a lot of places to browse on this site. I can't wait to explore them.
I feel honored to be another Susan. My mom wanted me to be a girl and I was to be named Susan. I love the name. Thanks mom. Sorry I didn't turn out to be the girl you wanted - well, I guess I did to some extent.

Thanks for the welcome Tinkerbell. It gives me a good feeling to be able to listen and talk to others with similar desires since I can't talk to anyone in my family. I look forward to more conversations. I have some good stories and experiences that I will share.

Hi Jilleann
Thank you for the welcome. Michigan is a great state, isn't it?
I feel for you and your relationship with wife.
When we were first married my wife and I would goof around a lot. On a couple of occasions she set my hair in rollers and once put me in her wedding dress. We do not even talk about things like that anymore. I do love her (married 31 years) but it causes me to have to do things behind her back which I do not like doing, however, there are things inside me that make other things happen.
Anyway, I  am glad to have found Susan's and the great people that belong to the forum. It is so nice to be able to be Susan, even if it is only in posts. It makes me feel good.
Look forward to talking more.
Hugs

Hi Susan!

The issue of wives is a tough one.  But as I'm discovering, this is not a struggle anyone needs to face alone.  Like others I'm there with you.  You'll find the people here wonderfully helpful, as I have.  If you ever need to talk, please message me or email.  Welcome!

Brings back memories, Susan.  I began with some fancy dresses from Goodwill, but - of course - they are limited.  Can't wear them to the store or to church.  My ex eventually found them and our 24 year marriage came to an end.

My fancy dress is limited to cruises now.  An older woman's reality (I'm 69) runs to jeans and tops in our part of the country.  Long skirts and tops for dinner out or church.  Right now, I'm in my Naval Academy Class of 60 sweatshirt and jeans.  It was a snow shoveling day, and I feel a little done in.

My husband appreciates me no matter how I'm dressed so long as I cook his dinner.  LOL.  He, on the other hand, hates the few times he has to wear a jacket and tie.

As you can see from my foto, I also appreciate the garb of an early 16th Century Celtic lass (crone?).

Welcome, and enjoy your journey,

Robyn

Hello & Welcome, Susan!

My wife doesn't really approve although she knows what I'm doing.  Actually it's that she's upset with what I'm doing and I can't blame her.  I'm pleased that you decided to join us, Susan, and I'll be looking forward toreading more from you.

again, WELCOME ! !  :)

Hi Ricki and Everyone,
Yes, I like the Bears, the Cubs and the Sox. I also like Michigan. Dallas cheerleaders are the best!
I feel that my roots are in Chicago even though I was born in Indiana. My dad grew up on the North side, my mom's family came from Roger's Park and my wife is from the South West side.

I like sports but am not a fanatic. If there is time then I am happy to watch. My favorite sports are golf, soccer and baseball. I love watching golf (especially the women's) on a cold winter day when the golfers are in sport shirts and it is 75 degrees outside.

I almost got to go to a Notre Dame - Purdue football game many years ago. I had two tickets and my father-in-law was going to go with me. Two days before he had his first stroke. I had to give the tickets to someone else so we could go visit him. The best way to see a sporting event is to be there. Never did get another chance even thoug South Bend is 30 mile from me.

My best comment on sports is Go Team Go!

Hi,
I have a question regarding communication with others. I was trying to E-mail a person here but I get an error message saying I cannot E-mail. I am also unable to get into the messaging system. Is it because I am still a visitor?

How do I contact others?

Thank you
Susan

Hi Steph,
Thank you for the info.
I just put "Private Messages" in the search box. Another post came up telling the person that they needed 15 posts before they could send a private message. Looks like I have a few to go.

Ricki - If you get the chance visit Notre Dame. It is a beautiful campus. It is a very good college as you probably know. Also, if you visit you need to visit Lake Michigan. It has some beautiful sunsets. There are some neat summer festivals in the area. If you come let me know. Maybe we could meet.

Kristi - I would like to talk to you about wives. I tried to send you a message but I guess I am not yet eligible.

Jilleann - Thank you for your E-mails. We seem to have a lot in common.

Thanks everyone for the support.

Hugs to all.
