Well believe it or not, there has been plenty of of coverage of this here in the area. And I thought the news would be very bigoted. I have actually been pleasantly surprised. Sure, there is plenty of mud slinging from both sides, but the balance has quite surprised me. Fox 26 has actually been one of the better channels.
I have no frame of referance other than the crusader of Facebook who can't see past the "Fox" apparently.
she insists that everyone is fair but the Fox station.
Personally, I don't know, but I see the videos she linked and this was my impression...
there was one piece in which the intro included this sentence fragment "...a man who was born a man, married another man"
quite apart from inaccurately referring to Nikki as a man (in the first use of the word) and the improper "another" - that's just bad copy writing. The ONLY sensible way to write that would be "a PERSON who was born a man"...in that phraseology even the "another" isn't really that bad.
But after that sentence, the rest of the video was solidly correct in use of pronouns and gender references.
Interestingly, that piece set up a poll "should transgenders be allowed to marry" in which the "yes" vote won in a landslide - so if they were "indoctrinating" they certainly failed.
I saw nothing slanted except what came from the opposing legal team.
She linked another segment in which she debated a local preacher - on this same station - and she ate the dudes lunch.
So I don't see supporting evidence for the "evil Fox" riff she was on, but she was pretty adamant about it.
