New York magazine has a lengthy piece on Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, and it starts with this introduction:

Dressed in silk and false eyelashes and heels, he wants to go beyond skating, beyond masculine and feminine, to a kind of stardom that's entirely his own.

I've watched his reality show on TV. In it, he has a male roommate whom he shows affection with. They later have a breakup. Now, if johnny views his gender as something not firmly male, then it would be difficult for him to clearly define his sexual orientation.
