How Much Did Your Life Change?

Post-transition I am far happier, much more outgoing, more relaxed, and participate in many more social activities than before.  But I still live in the same house, have the same friends, have the same job, and have the same hobbies and interests.  I've been surprised at how much my life now is like it was before (only better ).

I can't wait to answer this question.  I'm already experiencing a change in my attitude and am feeling more confident as the days go by.

Im a more outgoing person since my change, as a man I was a loner. As far as successes in my life or work, nothing has changed.I still have the same job I did from when I was male, Im a bankteller.

I am definitely happier than I was before, more confident, and a much better person to be around. Professionally, I was promoted to manager three days after I transitioned to full time, and just this month, a few months after surgery, I was moved to a busier branch to manage, essentially a move up, and my manager is already talking about my next move. My career in banking has definitely accelerated.

couldn't have said it any better!  My life changed from night into day. I still do the same work because I'm self employed, work on the computer and can do it from anywhere in the world. Moving to Australia was the biggest single change, but there is little if anything left of my old life, and that is just as well. I found a peace and fulfillment that I never had before, the best change of all.

I'm am very happy for all of you but especially for K8.  Kate, that's amazing that your friends have been accepting.  I assume everybody posting here is postop.  I'm still preop, but I'm only 8+ months on hormone replacement therapy and believe it's too early for GRS/SRS at this point.  My best to all of you.

I think one of the coolest things is not having gender dysphoric thoughts any more. Also I'm so much more confident than before and loving life even though the last several weeks after GRS/SRS has had its moments, lol.

I was a loner as well, had friends but moved a lot as people started to ask questions about me. (real or not).
Now? I have lived in the same house for 8 years, same phone number for 15! OMG. I must be stable! EEEK!

Brianna, I too feared not being a pretty woman.  When I finally realized that I'd rather be an ugly woman if need be than any kind of man, I started forward.  We can't all be pretty, but we can learn to be ourselves.
